Walking alongside partner organizations that do impactful work has long been a focus for WPHF. Through our grantmaking, we have funded projects and initiatives that have made a significant difference for people in Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park.

Community Impact Grants

WPHF invests in and partners with nonprofit organizations advancing work across our core focus areas: Access to Primary Care, Food Is Health, and Youth Mental Health. Grounded in innovation and collaboration, our philosophy takes a holistic approach to community health, recognizing that the challenges families face rarely exist in silos. Many of the solutions we support intentionally bridge two or more focus areas to expand access, improve outcomes, address root causes, and drive lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Walking alongside our partners, we help bring ideas to life, scale what works, and respond thoughtfully to evolving community needs, together building a healthier, more connected community… Well into the Future.

Student Health Support

For more than 30 years, WPHF has partnered with Orange County Public Schools to support the health and wellbeing of K-12 students. Through our Coordinated Youth Initiative, we invest in programs and services that expand access to primary care and mental health support, ensuring students have the resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
With more than $24 million invested to date and a focused commitment to the 14 schools within our impact area, this long-standing partnership reflects our dedication to meeting students where they are, strengthening school communities, and advancing a more coordinated, sustainable approach to student health.

AdventHealth Restricted Funds

As WPHF was founded through the sale of the hospital that is now AdventHealth Winter Park, our organization is entrusted to steward a set of restricted funds that advance hospital initiatives to strengthen patient care. These include community health programs, cardiac care, and capital improvements that enhance the hospital’s ability to serve.

WPHF funding also plays a critical role in supporting AdventHealth Winter Park’s nursing workforce through scholarships and professional development opportunities that grow the skills essential to high-quality care. Our ongoing collaboration with AdventHealth Winter Park reflects a shared commitment to ensuring the hospital remains a vital, forward-looking resource for our community.

Community Education Investments

At the Winter Park Health Foundation, we believe knowledge is a key component to better health. Collaborating with trusted community partners, we fund publicly accessible education programming and enrichment opportunities both at our Center for Health & Wellbeing and within our wider community.

Often provided at no cost, these offerings are designed to equip individuals and families with knowledge, tools, and skills to support their wellbeing, fostering connection and healthier living across our community.
