“It begins and ends with partnerships.” That is the Winter Park Health Foundation’s core philosophy and the message WPHF President and CEO Nicholas Abrahams brought to Eatonville leaders on May 5.

Members of our WPHF team, along with several of our partner organizations, were honored to come together with Eatonville Mayor Ruthi Critton and her fellow Council members to share more than $300,000 in WPHF investments focused on supporting residents’ health:

  • Weekly group counseling and individual therapy scholarships for kids in partnership with Grace Counseling and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida Joe R. Lee Branch: $125,000

  • Quarterly mobile medical services and nutrition education in partnership with Grace Medical Home, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, and Hebni Nutrition: $125,000

  • Support for a school-based health office with a nurse practitioner at Hungerford Elementary School starting in August in partnership with Orange County Public Schools: $80,000+

This work is only possible together.
