On Friday, June 20, yoga enthusiasts gathered at the Center for Health & Wellbeing (CHWB) to celebrate the longest day of the year with Summer Solstice Yoga, a special program presented by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Throughout history and across cultures, the Summer Solstice has been heralded as a time of renewal and reflection. In yoga, it marks a meaningful moment to deepen one’s commitment to mindful movement and personal growth.

Our CHWB conference rooms transformed into a haven of calm as Crosby Wellness Center instructors Nicole Elliot, Miranda Harris, Loren Adams and Kathy Trexler led community members through 108 Sun Salutations, a flowing sequence of poses synchronized with conscious breathing.

This traditional practice guides individuals through a focused journey of physical endurance and mental clarity. Each salutation serves as an opportunity to build strength, set intentions and align with the energy of the season.

The Winter Park Health Foundation is proud to offer sessions like this to empower community wellness and provide motivating ways to connect mind, body and spirit.

We extend our gratitude to all who joined us in welcoming the summer with purpose and presence.
