On a sunny Saturday in November, nearly 100 high school students joined the Winter Park Health Foundation at our Center for Health & Wellbeing for our first-ever Gold Star Girls: Day to Shine, organized in partnership with Orlando Pride, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida and Pace Center for Girls.

The event was filled with:

  • Confidence-boosting mental health sessions
  • Hands-on nutrition demos
  • High-energy dance tutorials
  • Real conversations about passion, purpose and presence (on social media)
  • A celebratory fashion show
  • People Bingo (with prizes!)

… and so much more.

We are grateful to every partner, presenter and participant who made this experience unforgettable.

Here’s to creating spaces where all girls feel strong, supported and unstoppable!
