The Winter Park Health Foundation is proud to announce it has been invited to join the City of Winter Park’s Arts & Culture Alliance.

Comprising of more than 20 organizations, the mission of the Arts & Culture Alliance is to enhance and improve awareness and visibility of the non-profit arts and culture organizations within the City of Winter Park limits which offer programming to the public.

The Winter Park Health Foundation invests in projects and partners who align with its vision of creating the healthiest communities in America. This is accomplished through a creative mix of initiatives, programs, grants, and facilities designed to improve health. At WPHF’s Center for Health & Wellbeing, arts programming intersects with health improvement in support of its community members’ journey to whole-person health. Through its grantmaking work, WPHF invests in organizations that leverage the power of arts to improve the physical and mental health of the residents of Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park.

The Center for Health & Wellbeing is a hub for arts programming. Each month, CHWB hosts several arts-focused programs, from introduction to watercolors to calligraphy to performance classes. These programs give attendees of all experience levels the opportunity to tap into their creative side in a nurturing environment, creating a sense of community and a boost to their overall wellbeing.

Since its opening in 2019, CHWB has featured the talents of performers, artists and educators from existing Alliance member organizations, including Central Florida Vocal Arts, Crealdé School of Art and the Winter Park Library. Through this expanded partnership, CHWB will work even closer with Alliance members to highlight the talents of this deep pool of community-based artists.

Jackie Carlin, Community Education Director at CHWB, will represent WPHF at Alliance meetings. In this role, she will work closely with Alliance members to identify and execute opportunities to collaborate on arts programming that will benefit the health and wellbeing of CHWB visitors and other WPHF partner organizations.
