Our Community Facilities

Winter Park Health Foundation

The Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) constructed a permanent home in Winter Park in 2005. It enables us to convene groups to provide education and foster collaboration in an ongoing effort to create healthier communities.

In addition, the Foundation developed and owns several facilities that address health and wellness needs of community members. Each of these not-for-profit community assets offers a unique variety of services

Crosby Wellness Center

Since it opened in 1989, the Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center has always been a special place with exceptional staff, programs and services focused on improving the physical and social wellbeing of residents from Winter Park and surrounding communities.  In late 2016, the Crosby Wellness Center closed temporarily to make way for construction of its new homewithin the new Center for Health & Wellbeing.  The new Crosby Wellness Center opened at the Center for Health & Wellbeing in April 2019.

On the first floor of the new Wellness Center, Crosby members have fresh, modern locker rooms for men and women including saunas in each; and four private mini-locker rooms for those who need assistance from others to change, shower, etc.

In addition, the Crosby Natatorium is located on the first floor with two pools – one dedicated to lap swimming and one (with warmer water) for aquatics classes, therapy, swim lessons, etc.  The fitness floor with new equipment and two group exercise rooms are located on the second floor.

The total square footage dedicated to the aforementioned features is greater than what existed in the original Crosby Wellness Center.  In its new home, the Crosby Kid’s Corner (children’s wellness including childcare), the walking track, and conference rooms are located adjacent to the new Crosby Wellness Center, accessible to members and others using other services offered within the Center for Health & Wellbeing.
