Focus Areas
On its mission to build the healthiest community in the U.S., the Winter Park Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees is directing attention and resources toward three focus areas, including Children & Youth, Community Health and Older Adults.
The board’s work is guided by the dedicated members of work groups assigned to develop and implement goals and strategies for each focus area. In addition, their work is guided by strategic directions established by the Board of Trustees that grants and programs encourage healthy lifestyles, improve systems of care and reduce health disparities.
Trustees sit on and chair each work group, and community members—with focus area expertise—are invited to participate. The community representatives serve as valued and active members of the work groups.
Work Group members—and Trustees—are volunteers with a passion for improving the health of the community.
