Self-motivation and individual change is to be applauded, but the Winter Park Health Foundation recognizes that policy and environmental change can also inspire citizens to take steps to live healthier. Well aware that behavior is affected by environments, we support efforts by child care centers, schools, businesses and communities to implement policies that make it easier for people to make and sustain healthy choices.

Step it Up…it’s important & fun!

Earlier this month, the U.S. Surgeon General issued a Call to Action for our nation to “Step It Up”. In our local communities, Healthy Central Florida is promoting walkable communities and offering fun ways to get in the action.
