New Year…New You?

Center for Health & Wellbeing Has Much to Offer!

It’s not only a new year, but a new decade.  So, it’s time for a new approach to health.

In the past, you may have followed tradition and focused your resolutions on diet, nutrition and weight management; and/or exercise and fitness.  Did you know your health is more than physical wellness?

At the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park,  you’ll find programs and services designed to enhance your overall wellbeing and total health.  The staff and visiting experts offer programming for all seven dimensions of wellbeing – physical, intellectual, environmental, vocational, social, emotional, and spiritual.

Developed by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with AdventHealth, the new Center provides a safe, welcoming environment in which to pursue new health interests and embrace a vibrant, active lifestyle for people of all ages.  Since it opened in April 2019, thousands of community members have visited the new, one-of-a-kind facility – participating in classes/programs, receiving whole person health care, or working out at the new Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center.  The overall Center (including an indoor walking track and the Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen!) is open to the public.  The only membership requirement is for unlimited use of the fitness facilities within the Crosby Wellness Center.

Each month, the Center for Health & Wellbeing hosts a wide variety of wellbeing programs.  Most are free; however, some may require a small fee to cover the presenter’s expenses.   The best way to keep up with the variety of programs is to Like the Center for Health & Wellbeing on Facebook, sign up for the Center’s digital newsletter, regularly check out the program calendar at YourHealthAndWellbeing.org (click on Events), or pick up the monthly calendar at the Center’s Welcome Desk.

The Center for Health & Wellbeing is located at 2005 Mizell Avenue in Winter Park.  While the Center has become a popular spot, parking is never an issue.  A free parking garage adjoins the Center for easy access.  The garage entrance is located off Mizell Avenue at the corner of Crosby Way and So. Edinburgh Drive.
