And the Winner is…

Eatonville resident William Jones received the Live with Purpose Boldy Award from Bill Shafer of Growing Bolder.
William Jones of Eatonville was recently awarded the Live with Purpose “Boldy” presented by Growing Bolder in partnership with the Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF).
Last year, WPHF and the Senior Resource Alliance collaborated with Growing Bolder to establish the annual Boldy Awards to honor new role models for aging with grace, power and significance. During the 2017 Boldys Award Ceremony held at Full Sail Live earlier this month, WPHF presented the Live with Purpose Award…to promote the importance of positive aging and remaining active in mind, body and spirit.

Live with Purpose award winner William Jones celebrates with Holly Tanyhill, CATCH Program Coordinator for Volunteers for Community Impact.
Mr. Jones is a well-deserved recipient of this award. He is a compassionate, artistic man who volunteers with the CATCH Healthy Habits Program, teaching children about health and wellbeing at the Winter Park Community Center and at the Joe R. Lee Boys and Girls Club in Eatonville. Mr. Jones is also a musician who teaches children music at the downtown library. He stays fit by riding his bicycle wherever he goes. Whether it’s sharing fishing techniques, Tai Chi movements, or how to play the steel drums, Mr. Jones is a perfect example of using what you know to have a positive impact on others.
As he approaches his 70th birthday, Mr. Jones says he is having the best time of his life because he lives with purpose. Congratulations and thank you for inspiring health!
