Arts & Wellness Symposium Draws Record Crowd

Over 300 people attended the 3rd Annual Arts & Wellness Symposium hosted by UCF College of Arts & Humanities and the National Center for Creative Aging thanks to support from The Pabst Charitable Foundation for the Arts, the B.L. West Foundation, and the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Students and Parents Get A+ for Walking to School

Sunshine and cool breezes made for ideal “Walktober” weather as nearly 2,000 students throughout all eight Winter Park area elementary and middle schools, walked or rolled to school to commemorate International Walk to School Day on October 7.

School Recess Gets More Active

October 8, 2015

Recess carts were provided to eight Winter Park, Maitland and Eatonville elementary schools thanks to a Winter Park Health Foundation grant in support of the recess resolution passed by the Orange County Public Schools School Board.

Eatonville CRA Seeks Input on Town’s Future

During September, the Eatonville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) held three community visioning workshops. The purpose of the workshop was to engage residents in assessing and providing input to update the existing version developed in 1997.
