Winter Park Health Foundation is Accepting Applications for First Student Seat on its Board of Trustees

The Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) is searching for a graduate level student to fill the newly created student seat on its Board of Trustees.

It is hoped the new student position will help develop young leaders in health, health care and philanthropy by giving students a chance to serve on the governing board of a foundation focused on community health improvement. At the same time, WPHF is anxious to get input from the next generation of leaders as it plans for future work in the community.

The term for the new volunteer position begins January 1, 2010 and lasts for up to two years.

To be eligible, applicants must be from Central Florida and they need to be students in a graduate degree program—preferably health-related—in a local college or university.

Interested students can apply on line by clicking on the application link below. In addition, applications must be accompanied by a resume to be sent to [email protected]

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on September 21, 2009, and the application review and nomination process will take place during October and November. Applicants will be notified of the Foundation’s decision by the end of November.
