Winter Park Health Foundation Grant Supports Positive Aging Program for Seniors

Lutheran Counseling Services has been granted $5,730 from the Winter Park Health Foundation through its Older Adults Work Group in support of a one-day workshop entitled Quest for Meaning: Aging with Faith, Resilience and Vitality.

The workshop will focus on the message of positive aging. Presenters will teach participants how to keep the inner spirit alive and address the importance of investing in an inner life as part of the spiritual journey of aging.

Workshop planning has included representatives from Lutheran Counseling Services, Orlando Health, Florida Hospital and the Community Council on Spirituality and Aging. The workshop will be held on May 4, 2010 at a yet to be determined location.
