Winter Park Health Foundation Marks 15th Anniversary with Community Reception
Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) marked its 15th year of operation with a reception including past and present trustees, community leaders and partners as well as grantees on Friday, April 17 at Interlachen Country Club. The event drew more than 100 guests.
The reception capped off a day-long Board of Trustees annual retreat held at the Foundation’s office.
Speakers during the morning session provided trustees with an overview of how the economic downturn has impacted Central Florida. Trustees heard from Dr. Karen van Caulil, Executive Director, Health Council of East Central Florida; David Krepcho, Executive Director of the Second Harvest Food Bank and Robert Brown, President and CEO of Heart of Florida United Way.
Patty Maddox, President and CEO of WPHF, with input from WPHF Program Directors and Board Vice-Chairs, reviewed the Foundation’s mission, focus areas and current goals, objectives and initiatives.
The reception was designed to thank all of those who joined with the Foundation over the past 15 years in helping make the community a healthier place for young and old—and everyone in-between—to live work and play.
