The Winter Park Health Foundation’s Funding Philosophy

Looking for a strategic way to bring about long-term change, invest its resources, and boost community health, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees has identified four focus areas — Community Health Policy, Children & Youth, Older Adults and Winter Park Memorial Hospital. The Foundation Trustees serve on work groups planning the Foundation’s work within each area and community members with focus area expertise and dedication are invited to work with the Trustees and Foundation staff to determine specific, measurable goals for each priority. The community representatives serve as valued and active members of the work groups.

In all that it does, the Foundation seeks out best practices and evidence-based strategies to address the needs it identifies. Then, the Foundation seeks strategic alliances with other area nonprofit organizations to develop programs and provide services.
